How you can help the TIC through sponsorship
TIC supporters
Organisations of high repute now recognise the mutual benefits of helping Bolton TIC to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, innovators and entrepreneurs. Sponsorship of rooms, equipment, projects, programmes and people is welcomed and encouraged.
For example, the Defence Diversification Agency, has sponsored the supply of a Plasma Profiling machine into the centre, Air Products will sponsor a room dedicated to Future Energies, MBDA will sponsor a video-conferencing facility, and Autodesk will sponsor 3D computer-aided design software. SuSE has provided computer operating systems, and Smoothwall have donated firewalls to protect the ICT infrastructure.
Local companies are invited to become involved in some form of sponsorship of Bolton TIC, and to have a direct involvement in the development of young people who could be leading or employed by their organisations in years to come. Highly motivated young innovators from 9 to 19 years of age, from every school in the town will visit the TIC to pursue their ideas and technical dreams. Within a few years, every child in Bolton LEA will have had the opportunity to visit Bolton TIC, that is, 3,500 children per year group.
